Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PicReady handles information when you use our browser-based image optimization tools and paid account features.
1. Image processing
PicReady processes images locally in your browser. Uploaded images are not sent to PicReady servers for compression, resizing, cropping, format conversion, or preview generation.
For the core image optimization workflow, compression, resizing, cropping, format conversion, and preview generation run locally in your browser and are not fulfilled by third-party image processing APIs.
For those local tools, PicReady does not store, review, sell, or share your image files.
Background removal is a separate, opt-in cloud feature. When you choose an image on the Remove Background page, PicReady removes image metadata in your browser and sends the prepared image pixels through a PicReady server endpoint to our AI image-processing provider for that request. PicReady does not persist the input image or returned result.
If you choose Continue to product-image setup, the returned PNG is placed temporarily in this browser's IndexedDB so the next PicReady page can open it without another upload. The handoff is consumed and deleted on arrival, is accepted for no more than 10 minutes, and is never written to PicReady's server storage. A stale handoff left by an interrupted navigation is deleted on the next visit to Remove Background or the Shopify image workbench.
2. Account and billing information
If you create an account or purchase a paid plan, we may process account details such as your name, email address, authentication state, subscription status, usage limits, and billing identifiers.
We store your account credit balance, one-time free-use status, processing reservations and credit transactions to track usage, prevent duplicate charges, and restore credits after failures.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. PicReady does not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.
3. Analytics and product usage
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, page views, referrers, countries or regions, devices, and basic performance trends.
We may also record product events such as upload, optimization, and download actions to improve the service. These events are used for product analytics and abuse prevention, not to inspect your image content.
4. Third-party services
PicReady is not a marketplace for reselling access to third-party APIs and does not sell proxy access to image processing APIs.
We may use third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, analytics, authentication, billing, email, and fraud prevention. These providers process data only as needed to operate the service.
For background removal, fal.ai receives the prepared image pixels needed to run Bria RMBG and produce the transparent result. The API credential remains on the PicReady server and is never exposed to your browser.
5. Support requests
If you contact support, we may use your email address and message content to respond, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service records.
6. Data retention
Account, billing, and support records are retained as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
Local image files are not retained by PicReady because they are processed in your browser.
Images sent for background removal are processed for the requested run and are not retained by PicReady. Third-party providers may apply their own limited technical logs or retention practices under their service terms.
A browser-local image handoff is deleted after it is consumed. If navigation is interrupted, an expired handoff can remain only until the next visit to Remove Background or the Shopify image workbench; clearing site data removes it immediately.
7. Your choices
You can stop using PicReady at any time. If you have an account and want to request deletion or account assistance, contact support.
